1. Click on the button below to read an article entitled, "Florida Mom Wants Dress Code for Parents." There is an accompanying newscast you can watch if you want. After you have discussed the article with your table, decide how strongly YOU agree or disagree with the following statement:
Parents should have to adhere to the same dress code as their children, when attending events at their school.
2. Rate how strongly you agree or disagree by assigning the number 1-5 to your feelings (1 strongly disagree - 5 strongly agree).
3. Revisit the article or newscast and find a minimum of 1 piece of evidence to support your opinion. Also brainstorm at least 1 connections/idea you have to support your opinion.
4. Either type out or record your point of view in a clear, organized way that allows your voice to be heard.
The Results are In
We had a blast today at Gymzone. Students were able to apply all that they had learned during our Gymnastics Unit, in a safe environment.
Today students preformed their gymnastics routines. Students worked together to create a success criteria to assess and evaluate their work. It focused on group work, what it meant to stay on task, completion of the elements of the routine, as well as showcasing gymnastic skill. The videos have to be inserted into two seperate blog posts because of the size of the uploads. Enjoy!
Today students spent some time reflecting on themselves as a learner. Students thought about what was working for them in our class and what could change so that they could continue to be successful. Below are some of their thoughts presented using the app ThingLink.
Students are working on creating gymnastic routines. They will be presenting on Friday. We will upload all the videos from the routines before the weekend.
